Thanks to all who responded, two many to mention them all.
Of course, the answer was simple.
Tftp can't create the file so it has to exist with the right permisions.

Here is my original question:
Hi gurus
I am running Solaris 2.4 and have enabled tftp (according to CISCO directions),
to be able to backup
my routers configuration.
I have checked with netstat that TFTP is enabled
netstat -a | grep tftp gives this:
*.tftp idle
The -tftpboot directory is created with permisions 777,
so everything seems right, but i get this message trying to save my
configuration:
writing routerxxx
TFTP: error code 2 received. Access violation
[Failed]
Any hints ?
T.I.A.
