Original question:

I have a Solaris 2.6 Sparc machine, I need to increase the number
of process available on the system, how can I do this?

Answer:

As root you can see the max number of process:

                # adb -k
                # max_nprocs/D

It can be changed on the fly using adb or, on /etc/system:

                set max_nprocs=123456

        and rebooting.
