My humblest obescience to the great gurus...
I am still trying to get the second disk on line. Note this
curious output from dmesg:
PCI-device: pci@1,1, simba #0
PCI-device: pci@1, simba #1 <--------?????!!
dad0 at pci1095,6460 target 0 lun 0
dad0 is /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0
<ST38420A cyl 16706 alt 2 hd 16 sec 63>
dad1 at pci1095,6460 target 1 lun 0
dad1 is /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@1,0
<ST39111A cyl 17660 alt 2 hd 16 sec 63>
root on /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/disk@0,0:a fstype ufs
See!! I can see the disk! Something is wrong with the minor
number and it is not addressed correctly. Looking through
/devices, the object is there. Just not under /dev. So in
my tradition of doing things the hard way, I will manually
build the links and stuff and see if it fly.
