Thanks to all those who replied, lot of freinds out there have replied back
with solutions, this mail would flood with their names.... Thank you all...
here is the summary:
solutions :
1. Rename CC=cc to CC=gcc in the makefile
2. ln -s /usr/local/bin/gcc to /usr/ucb/cc
3. Have the path of /usr/local/bin before /usr/ucb in /etc/profile
4. Install C libraries...
