thanx to all.
I received a couple of different solutions. With a mix of them I got
things to
work.
What I've done:
in /etc/host
add the domainname to the local host. i.e.
x.x.x.x myhost.mydomain.com myhost loghost
changes in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
comment DSmailhost.$m
add DMmydomain.com
