Summary
The general consensus is the following:
SUN supports 2 cards of type 1141A in an E450, 3 of them in an
E420R.
The rule of thumb that most are using is "with Sun's current GigE
drivers, it works out that you need about 100MHz/100Mbits you want to do
with the system". Most everyone said that a (4)400Mhz E450 can drive two
GigE interfaces.
Original Question
Does anyone know what is the supported maximum number of Gigabit Ethernet
cards that one can put in an E450?
Thanks.
