After a long, delay to post this summary I've comming
out with this.
I've tried the m64config command with no positive results.
Surfing on the Sun website I found the Expert 3D video card
that supports HDTV long format displays, but with an aspect
ratio of 16:10 and at very high resolutions 1920x1200. It
can be attached to a 24" monitor, still samall for my needs.
I'll keep looking for solution.

areas of the borders, this works pretty well for images but for text is

Is it possible to change the video card resolution to 852 x 480?
