Thanks to Clifford Thurber for the fast reply.
I thought I was satisfying the requirements for probe-scsi-all by using the
following to get to the ok prompt: shutdown -g0 -i0. Apparently this isn't
"safe" enough. As suggested by Clifford I went to the OK prompt and typed:
setenv auto-boot? False
reset
Back at the OK prompt, probe-scsi-all now works fine.
Of course, I will need to setenv auto-boot? True afterwards.
Thanks everyone,
-David
