Hi all!
My original question was:
>I have a question about my ncsize on an E4500/Solaris 7. Everything I see
says that ncsize defaults to 17 * maxusers + 90. Currently on this system
ncsize is 69992 - maxusers is 1024. No place in /etc/system is either of
those manually set.
>
>Where is that huge ncsize coming from?
Thanks to Hans Schaechl [hans.schaechl@kippdata.de] who was the only person
to answer this question. Here is his response:
Hi,
your calculation was only valid for Solaris up to 2.5.1.
For Solaris 2.6 and 7 there's a new default ncsize calculation:
ncsize = (68 * maxusers) + 360
and this equals to 69992 when maxusers=1024.
HTH,
Hans
