Thanks a lot for the informative and fast responses! The majority of the
responses told me to use these commands:
# dmesg |more
#prtconf -pv and look for model name banner-name
#/usr/platform/`uname -i`/sbin/prtdiag -> most of the responses
The original message was:
Esteemed Managers,
Is there a command other than uname -i that would tell you exactly what type
of a SUN machine you are dealing with, E250 or E4500 for example? In NCR
SVR4 there is a command called machinetype that would do that for you.
