Hello everyone,
I received two responses for this problem, one said to look at the Maxtor
WEB site since they mentioned issues with drives larger than 32Gb.
Unfortunately, there was nothing there that was helpful.
The second response I had was from Kai Yan, he was able to get it to work
by performing the following steps:
Instructions from Kai Yan:
-------------------------------------
1- Destroyed the previous label with the "dd" command. ( I labeled it
with a Solaris 2.6 initially )
2- Used "format" and entered C/H/S 19383/64/64
3- Saved the new label.
-------------------------------------
The hard part was trying to figure out the cylinders. I'm not even sure
its correct.
I was unable to try this since I ended returning the drive and getting a
20Gb drive which I know works.
Thanks,
Steve P.
