SUMMARY: UE 6500 weirdness

I should have mentioned that it was set to boot from disk first. It turned
out
that the OpenBoot settings for disk and diagnostics had been changed. We
are
not sure if the nvram lost it's settings and went to defaults via a hiccup
(hardware or software), or a deliberate act on someone's part. Anyway it is

working, and the key is in the locked position (no stop-a's).

Original problem:
I have two UE6500's, and 3 U10's. We changed out our FireWall this morning,

and an UE6500 and an U10 needed their arp-cache cleared before they would
work. The other UE6500 was attempting to boot off it's network interface.
It had the error message "Timeout waiting for ARP/RARP packet" scrolled off
the screen. It had only been a few minutes since the F/W swap out. When
power cycled, it shows all the tests that it runs during POST, like it's in
diagnostic mode or something. It then still refuses to try to boot from
any-
thing but the network. PLEASE help.
