In solaris swap equals RAM + disk(s), so the total output may vary
because of the amount of RAM dedicated to it, and that explains the
difference between the size of your partition and the total /tmp
capacity.

Subject: Odd things with df -k
Not 10 minutes ago, I did a df -k and saw this for my swap:
Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on
swap 962648 1488 961160 1% /tmp
And then, about a minute ago, I did it again, and got this:
# df -k
Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on
swap 962680 1488 961192 1% /tmp
Format shows that swap (/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s3) is 512.58MB.
This is an Ultra 2 running Solaris 7
Is it just me, or is this weird? 1) Fluctuation of total space on the disk
and 2) Over 400 MB difference in what df says I have on the disk, and what
it was formatted for?
Perhaps I'm just delusional because it's Friday.
