Greetings All:
Many thanks to the folks who responded; a list of all of the resources
suggested follows.
Base 2 Technologies (800.756.4766) and Polaris (800.626.1661) both
actually have the parts I need in stock. A special thanks to Larry Sanborn
at Base 2 who was kind enough to dig up an old Sun FE manual (05/28/93)
and fax to me the pages which decode the 330's diagnostic LEDs (apparently
the SS330 was dropped from the Field Engineer manual approximately 5 years
ago).
I am told that the Sun part number for a SPARCStation 330 PROM is 100-1628
and for a SPARCStation 330 NVRAM chip is 523-2136.
The suggestions were (appearing in the order in which they were received):
1. Patrick L. Nolan: http://www.weirdstuff.com/
2. Richard Felkins: Polaris, 800.626.1661
3. Bill Armand: [If I can't find the parts, look for some
used 330's and combine them into one working machine; it worked for him]
4. Buddy Lumpkin: Base 2 Technologies, 800.756.4766
5. Don Cary Grant: http://www.mouser.com/
6. Jed Dobson: ["You can even if the prom is invalid do a
little programming with FORTH to allow booting: c0ffee 8020c0ffee mkpl
^D^R"]
7. Mike Whitton [NVRAM probably needs replacement, see
http://www.pz.pirmasens.de/zoo/en/nvram.html for repair information]
8. Victor Churchill [Has an unused 330 which he is willing to
part with; we will probably take him up on this to acquire a complete
spares kit]
Thanks again.
