Summary:

Many people replied with what I thought was the answer, which is NO. You
can compile and link 64 bit programs if you install the 64 bit option but
you cannot run 64 bit programs on it as it is 32 bit hardware. Only Ultra
systems can boot a 64 bit OS and run 64 bit apps.
