Hello admins,
Thank you to all who replied ... as always I am in debt. Susan
Clower Allen hit
it right now the head ... the disks were being seen by both controllers and
LVM was
majorly confused. Here is the original posting followed by Susan's
response ...

Hello admins,
I am trying to help a friend and I really don't have all the technical
details but I am going
to give it a shot anyways ...
He has an EMC disk array that he has an 800 series attached to using fast-wide
differential controllers. lvm is having a heck of a time communicating with
the disks on
both controllers. EMC says the array is fine. If we bypass lvm and just
mount the whole
disk it works. The disk is accessible.
-Has anybody ever seen these problems with LVM and EMC disks before?
-Thanks in advance
-Mark Cormier
