I have understood that I have to install the Solaris
2.6 from cdrom directly(boot cdrom), and no need to do
any newfs.My question is below:

attached mail follows:
Dear Sun-managers,
I have a Sun-sparc5 machine with a Solaris 2.5.1 on
it.
It has an external disk and tape as peripherals.
I want to remove this external disk from this machine
and leave only internal disk and tape and then I want
to install Solaris 2.6 on it. My question is :
Do I have to format the disks and make partitions and
make newfs before installing Solaris 2.6 or I directly
begin with installation?
what steps do I have to follow to install Solaris 2.6
to this machine now?
Thank you in advance for your help
Figen Demir.
