We re-installed the SunVideo software and it is now working happily with
Solaris 8. We believe that the upgrade from Solaris 7 to 8 broke something,
possibly the device files.

Thanks to Don Varner and Don <taradon@pacbell.net> for their replies; they
had both gotten SunVideo Plus 1.3 to work with Solaris 8. Incidentally,
both got IPv6 to work with minimal configuration, which was nice to hear
as this is the primary reason we're going with Solaris 8.
