well a few suggestions but the answer for my problem was not even unix related...turns out the relay servers were having a problem...I got a little nervous and bounced the demon...but hte same problem happened today and i merely waited it out...because what i found was that the sendmail server had no system issues...the queue was not backed up...and the snoops and netstats showed the socket connections were working fine...mail was being sent.................
