The answer is, with Solstice Backup 5.5 and up, it
is possible to choose the port range to be used
by the backup, by using nsrports command. Old
versions (< 5.5) use RPC and any port less than
1024 may be used. The conclusion is that old versions
of Solstice Backup are not convenient to back up
the clients behind a firewall.
