No responses on this one so I'll put it to rest.
The author of fixsolaris is currently working on one for 7 so I'll either
wait for it or try experimenting with it myself in my spare time.
Hmm ... guess I'll be waiting.

OK, so far I've had numerous requests for a copy of this doc so here's the
url ...
http://www.thinc.org/petro/fixsolaris.txt
It's mainly a how-to for security but part of that entails minimal
processes. I would like to hear from anyone with experience on 7 if it's
an easy modification or fairly involved.

Solaris 7 install

I have a copy of "fixsolaris" by Christopher Petro that I found quite
handy. It goes through, in some detail, some of the minimum packages
needed for a working system for 2.6 (for those of us who don't want to
install the entire dist. but aren't sure what we can do without).
I am wondering if anyone has a doc similar for 7. I am getting ready to do
some performance testing with Oracle 8 standard on an E450 under both 2.6
and 7 and would be interested in making the 7 install as minimalist as the
2.6.
Thanks.
