Hello managers,
i asked:

>So, what's the difference running java on a console or a xterminal
>(something analogous to "display postscript"?)
and got one answer from anders@hmi.de (Thomas Anders) which solved
the problem for me:
>We had similar problems with Netscape on X-Terminals dumping core when
>starting Java. We tracked it down to missing fonts and cured it by using
>a Solaris fontserver:

> xset fp+ tcp/solarixbox:7100
And the best: Solaris Fontserver is per default enabled, so i really
had nothing else to do than this "xset"!
