the answer is to use mkfile and swap commands as in:
$ mkfile 500M /export/swapfile1.swap
$ swap -a /export/swapfile1.swap

i have installed netscape and i am running out of disk space now.........
wht can i do to expand the /tmp directory? when i install this, i have
partitioned it into 2. so, i still have 1 MB free disk space..........
