Original question:
Hi, i established quotas in /var/mail for my users.
quota -v works fine, when the user past the hard limit
appears EXPIRED,
and the user cant create a new file in the filesystem.
Everything seems to be fine, except the user is still
receiving
e-mails, despite his quota has expired
Did i miss something?
The answer:
Sendmail is running as root when it updates the mailbox, therefore
it will override quotas.
Solution:
Try to configure procmail or work with the mail.local program. I havent
tried any of them yet
