After checking with somone who is a little longer in the tooth than I, I
have found that this is a known problem ("I think I read about that
somewhere") and the only fix is a reboot. I have checked with the boss
and she has approved said reboot. Thanks to all who wanted to reply but
didn't, and to those who didn't waste the bandwith to flame me. Also
thanks to those who will give a better answer after I send this summary
and reboot the box.
