----- Original question ---------------------------------------------------
I'm running Solaris 2.6 on a Compaq Proliant 2500 with 2 Pentium-PRO procs
(confirmed by bios at boot).
How can i be *sure* my OS has recognized both? i tried 'prtconf -pv' but
do not seem to find what i need with that.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The answer was overwhelmingly 'psrinfo -v'
second best was 'mpstat' and last was 'dmesg | fgrep cpu'
