I asked about OnStream ADR tape drives which are very attractively priced
high capacity drives. However, the bottom line is that they are not real SCSI
tape drives, in that they use the SCSI interface but not the standard tape command
set which has got to be one of the most asinine things I ever did hear. Rumour has
it that the forthcoming 35GB drive will be a real SCSI-2 drive - we must wait and see.
