I had asked about running top/netstat and a few other commands that were
giving a /dev/kmem kernel error.

who all said that it probably was a kernel rebuild or patch addition.
I don't know what it was, but a reboot cleared it. This machine is
dual-owned root with us and our ISP, so they may have done something to
it, although they claim they didn't. Happily, it won't be dual-owned for
long.
