Question: How to force "reconfigure" for each boot?
Solution 1: Create a RC script that executes "touch /reconfigure" each time
the system boots.
Solution 2: Run a cron job to check for and create, if necessary, the
/reconfigure flag file.
Solution 3: Create the /reconfigure file. Modify the existing
"/etc/init.d/cacheos" RC file to stop deletion of the /reconfigure file.
I implemented solutions 1 and 2 (paranoia). I like solution 3, but have a
policy against modifying system files.
Question: Why does Veritas Volume Manager (3.0.1) only see one of the EMC
drives, which are connected to an E4500 with Jacor FC cards,
when booting without the "reconfigure" option.
**** Still unresolved ****
Thanks for the help.
