Thanks to all for quick responses.

The first response came from Sydney Weinstein [syd@myxa.com], who wrote:

full duplex. (its the old lance chipset)

So, the answer is no. Guess I'll just have to go and upgrade to brand new
machines! Wahoo!

Thanks again.

                Hi

This is kind of a bonehead question. I have an Ultra1/140
with the 10 Base-T Ethernet on board (as opposed to the 10/100 in the "E"
models). It's just being overwhelmed with the traffic going through it (>30%
collisions, way too much traffic). I'm out of S-Bus slots, or I'd put in
another hme card. I'm working on a proposal to upgrade these machines, but
in the meantime, I'd like to at least set it up as 10 Base-T full duplex.

I've searched the archives and the FAQ, and all references
to full duplex are dealing with 10/100 hme interfaces. No mention of what to
do with an le interface. I tried doing an 'ndd /dev/le \?' to get a list of
settings, but it won't give me anything.

So, my question is, can I set the le interface in the Ultra
1 to full duplex? If so, how?

                Thanks

                Karl
