I was able to get the unsupported version of UniVerse running on Solaris
2.6 however some of the older hashed files ended up being not writable
and I needed to create a new file of the same type and copy the data
from the old to the new.

original question below
====================================================================================
I need to install two A5200 storage arrays on a E4000 currently running
an old version of 2.5.1. In order to install I need to go to 2.6 or a
newer HW release of 2.5.1. My boss want's to go with 2.6 and my DBA
wants to go with 2.5.1, the reason being that we are running UniVerse
8.3.3.2 which is not "supported" on 2.6. It actually doesn't say it is
supported on 2.5.1 either but it is currently working.
Is there anyone out there running older versions of UniVerse on newer
Solaris versions? Please let me know any problems or roadblocks you
encountered.
