I had one reply to the problem I posted on Thu, 20 May 1999. The reply
came from Claudio.Confalonieri@bpb.it and whose advice solved my
problem.
The solution is to install the NISKIT Patch 103053-08.

I am running a NIS master server, on a Sparc server 20 running Solaris
2.5.1. and in February, I installed the 'Recommended Patch Cluster'.
Since this installation, when I am root on this NIS server, I am unable
to change user's passwords and I get the message: 'couldn't create
client'.
The rpc.yppasswd daemon and it's settings are:
/usr/lib/netsvc/yp/rpc.yppasswdd -D /var/etc -m
The strange thing is:
1) users that are logged into the NIS server can change their passwords
OK
2) if I am root on any NIS client, I can successfully change the user
password.
I would appreciate any help on this problem.
