Summary to accessing tar file on floppy

I was able to get this to work via a procedure I found in Solaris Advanced
Administration Guide on page 493, Here it is

tar cvf /vol/dev/aliases/floppy0 filename (from source system)
tar xvf /vol/dev/aliases/floppy0 target directory

Hello All,

I am trying to load a the patchdiag.xref file in from floppy and when I did
this earlier for the sunscan it work fine, but for some reason I can't get
the floppy to remount using volcheck, I've tried to fdformat and tar the
file from another system to floppy, reboot as it is a standalone, search
everywhere for answers. Can anybody help and thanks in advance.
