SUMMARY: Interrupt level4 not serviced

Sun managers,

Received a few helpful replies, but none that really addressed why a system
without SCSI is receiving this message. The "set esp" fix in /etc/system is not
recognized on systems without a SCSI adapter.

Opened a low priority service order with Sun, and they responded the next day.
It is a bug, fixed in Solaris 2.5.1 by patch 106966. They are working on porting
this patch to Solaris 2.6 and 7. Their internal bug ID is 4200283, escalation ID
518601. Neither of these are available on SunSolve online.

Guess we'll just have to live with it for now.

Thanks to:
David S. Foster
Len Rose
David Evans
Lovekesh Uppal
and of course SunService who will provide the fix, eventually.

>>There is no patch for Solaris 2.6, but the problem is (?) solved inSolaris 7.

>I have an Ultra 5 running Solaris 7 with all recommended/security patches and
have just seen the message twice in the past hour.
>No unusual activity on the system, and no SCSI controller or PCI cards
installed.

>Not much in SunSolve online about it, nor the Answerbooks.
>A mystery I suppose....
