This patch (Currently at rev 07) is available to paying customers, but
not publicly available. The wierd thing is that I just don't understand
why installing the jdk on an ultra 5 would be calling for a patch that
is a PCI patch for an E-4000 system.
At any rate, I am just ignoring this descrepency , and so far the jdk
runs fine
Thanks again for your quick response

Here's a a good procedure for determining whether a piece of software is "user friendly" or not. Ask yourself this question: "If this were a person, how long would it take before I punched it in the mouth?"
