pre summary of how to print to non postscript printers (hp)

hi! all, i'm sorry i haven't posted the summary yet.
my non postscript printer has been drafted into
some debugging action at work. I'll be on a trip
also and haven't had time to try out the various
suggestions (there were a lot, i guess that's the
penalty for asking such a basic question :)
anyway, just an to say that i haven't forgotten :)

thanks again for the input, i don't know if it'll
work, but certainly fingers crossed.
