The most succinct, useful and least condescending answer to
this question comes from: David Evans of Oracle Australasia
(keep my stock going up man!):
<snipo-rama>
there are two common methods:
1. Make an alias that is sourced at login along the
lines of:
alias xterm="/usr/openwin/bin/xterm -title $1"
2. Edit the Xresource file and add/change Xterm*title
to
what you want. This is not so obvious but is alluded
to in
the X11 and xterm man pages.
Regards,
David Evans
