Well several people responded that since Sun is moving away from SBUS
don't count on a SBUS LVD SCSI adaptor. I guess what I will do then is to
buy the LVD drives and connect them to my single-ended SCSI buses that are
currently running off of a Ultra1. When I replace the Ultra1 with a newer
server (one with PCI) I will get the LVD adaptors to get the benefits of
LVD.

Sun managers,

I am looking at purchasing some new disks and was looking for some input
from the list regarding my options.

I could buy single-ended drives, differential, or low-voltage
differential.

I would prefer the LVD drives because of the longer SCSI bus length. I'm
hesitant only because I don't see any SBUS adapters for LVD. My vendor
has told me that the LVD drives can run off of a single-ended bus and as
soon as LVD SBUS adapters are available I can get all of the advantages of
LVD.

Any recommendations or experience?

michael
