Can anyone point me to a freeware command-line mail client that I can
use to send attachments in MIME format ?
I tried mail/mailx but they don't seem to support attachmens...

I've got alot of replies.Most of them suggested the following mail clients :
pine
mutt
uuencode/uudecode
mpack/munpack ( my choice !! )
uuenview/uudeview
elm
metamail
I downloaded the mpack/munpack utilities from the following link:
ftp://ftp.andrew.cmu.edu/pub/mpack/mpack-1.5-src.tar.Z
