SUMMARY: Configure Solstice PPP Client problem

Summary:
I only got one answer from Leif Ericksen (leif@imho.net). He provided me
some information on setting up modem and debugging PPP. Thanks a lot
Leif.
I called Sun service. The Sun supporter could not get PPP option from
the command-mode menu as he usually does when he dialed into my ISP
server. We spoke to the tech manager of my ISP, he could not help. He
could not even tell us what PPP server they are running- you see
everyone can be an ISP today. The ISP only supports Win and Mac
machines. Changing ISP is the only solution.

Original Question:
I am now configuring Solstice PPP 3.01 client on a SPARC under Solaris
2.6 to connect to my local ISP- dclink. Everything is going fine until
the dial up. My modem is connected to the modem of dclink. After that,
dclink disconnects the connection. The only message useful from ppp.log
is "x line" wrong in the dclink.scr file. Here is the dclink.scr file:
........................................................................................

#Chat script for ppp login to connect on dclink
# Set the line regarding the remote site configuration
# Due to UUCP limitations some systems only accept cs7
# setline cs7 parodd
1) send RETURN
2) expect "sername:" 10 onerror send BREAK repeat 3
3) send "username"
4) expect "word: " 40
5) # Set the ppp password of the remote host here
6) send "password"
..........................................................................................

Last time, after I commented the line 2, the connection started to work
in connecting to another ISP. But commenting line 1) or line 2) don't
work this time. The ppp.log file points line 2 or line 6 having problem,

but I could not find what's wrong. The dclink.scr file is created during

the pppinit process. The ISP terminal server prompt is "Username:"
instead of "login:".
Any idea? Does the ISP have any way to block login from Unix shell? (I
got their terminal server's login prompt from Win 95 dialup). Anything
wrong with my dclink.scr file?
