The answers i received are as below. I haven't tried them yet but they all
seems to point to the right direction.
This should work, however you might have trouble with your routing tables.
This kind of thing is done in the Sun "Network Administration" course (or
it
was when I did it a couple of years ago). I do remember we had problems
until we put in default routes and such things or enabled routed? (the PPP
interface was not recognised in the rc script that starts routed and says
"machine is a router").

Yes - the Answerbook shows how to set up a "direct" PPP link as one
of the examples...

Yes it should works..what just you need is to configure a direct connection
in the /etc/uucp/Devices file

Nevertheless, your setup should work. Details on how to setup the serial
port
would be: designate 1 host the client (set PPP up on this -
http://www.stokely.com/unix.serial.port.resources/ppp.slip.html)
Set the other host as a dialin server:
