Thanks to Francis Liu, Bismark Espinoza for trying on this problem.
I had called Sun Support.
The problem is fixed by Commenting out the line OI in the sendmail.cf
file. Stop & restart sendmail.
Orig Question
I had SunOS 4.1.3 on a client machineA.
I upgraded the OS to SunOS 4.1.4 on machineA.
In fact I installed the SunOS 4.1.4 on machineA, preserving all the
partitions including / and /usr.
I also added all the y2k patches listed on sunsolve.sun.com website,
including sendmail version 8 on the client machineA.
machineA is an NIS client.
everything works fine on machineA as far as being a client goes.
When I send mail from machineA I get the following message.
"name server (I option) specified but BIND not compiled in."
The mail is delivered to the recipient.
How do I get rid of that message which occurs everytime anybody uses
mail on machineA.
The NIS server is runnin SunOS 4.1.4 with the old sendmail.
