Hi...
It is time for summary.
Since the problem was occuring for everyone , I ruled out the
possibility of $HOME/.dt or related files.
The actual solution came only from Mr. Mark Belanger who asked me to
check the permissions for the following files :
crw--w---- 1 dbt tty 0, 0 Jul 1 18:58
/devices/pseudo/cn@0:console
crw--w---- 1 root tty 0, 0 Mar 11 13:02
/devices/pseudo/cn@0:syscon
crw--w---- 1 root tty 0, 0 Feb 3 1995
/devices/pseudo/cn@0:systty
And there was the problem with group ownership of the console file. It
was owned by root.
Special thanks to Mark Berlanger.
