I received about 20 replies total, the vast majority of which
said to watch termination, flaky cables, etc. - the general
SCSI voodoo advice.
Rick Lantaigne pointed out that SCSI-2 has a maximum length
SCSI chain of 3 meters, which could definitely be a problem.

As soon as I can schedule more downtime, this is something
to pursue.

Sorry those references to "ft" should have been "meters". I guess this
an age indicator.
Note that SCSI-2 Single Ended has a max length is 3 meters as per
