hi all,
seems that the I_SETSIG errors are not critical and are most probably
from emacs.
its not something to worry about.
The time stamps are most probably put in by syslogd itself.
thanks to the foll. folks for their speedy responses!

original question :
===================
machine in question in an Ultra2 running Solaris2.5.1 with Feb98
patches. 512Mb RAM and 2Gb swap.
i started noticing these few entries in the /var/adm/messages file which
i have no idea of. How does one go about determining which process
logged these? are these serious, if anyone has seen them before? also
what is putting out those time stamps?
