Thanks for all the information!
The solutions are:
1. install patch 105633-05. I checked, works!
2. Put this in your .cshrc for CDE or .xinitrc if running openwindows:
     xset +fp /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/
     xset fp rehash
This works too!
3. Go to edit-preferences. Under appearance check out the fonts part.
Try and play
around with the fonts size and the the font itself. My is configured as
follows:
Variable Width Font: Times (Adobe) size: 18
Fixed Width Font : courier (Adobe) size: 18

This one is only half working: radio buttom display correct, still blank
for form labels!

Well, personally I dont think that the problem is solaris 2.6 as you
think. In
fact I dont think its a problem as such. I had the same "problem" with
my
communicator and this is what I did.

Go to edit-preferences. Under appearance check out the fonts part. Try
and play
around with the fonts size and the the font itself. My is configured as
follows:

Variable Width Font: Times (Adobe) size: 18
Fixed Width Font : courier (Adobe) size: 18

Afetr changing the values, try to close communicator and restart it
again and
hope that it works for you.

Sounds like the well-known Solaris 2.6 font rendering bug that gets
fixed
with patch 105633-05. You could have found this answer in the archive
*and* in the Communicator 4.x Release Notes, so RTFM applies on you.

Not really.. But if you change the font (edit, preference, font) it'll
show up!

Do you have java enabled in "Preferences" ?

Sounds like a Font Problem to me. (I.e., Netscape wants some Font in
some specific Size to display Stuff and can't find it in the X11
Server's
Font Directories.) Try setting your Communicator to display in
another Font, resp. Font Size.

I don't understand why, but putting a file called ".xinitrc" in your
home
directory with the following contents fixes your problem:

xset +fp /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/
xset fp rehash

 eddy keller {74156} <eddy@swl.msd.ray.com>
Put this in your .cshrc for CDE or .xinitrc if running openwindows:

xset +fp /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/
xset fp rehash

ORIGINAL QUESTION:

Hi, everyone,
I am using Netscape enterprize server3.5.1 for solaris2.5.1 on my Ultra2

with solaris2.6. There is a small problem:
When I use communicator4.0.4 on same system to configure enterprize
server, some fill in forms are only show the form and buttom, no labels
for them, only blanks. I first think is the problem from
communicator4.0.4 because when I use same version communicator from
windows95 to login web server, no problem. But, when I upgrade
communicator to 4.0.5 for solaris, still the same problem, now I suspect

that is it from solaris2.6, or not?
Is there anyone know the anwser?
Thanks!!
Feng
