Hello !

Sorry for the delay in posting the summary.
My problem was not yet solved.
Thanks to all those who gave me informative replys.

Iam adding the original query and
answers below.

Original Query:

Hello Managers !I think this is a basic question on sendmail.but iam sorry i dont have any other way.
Please help me out.

Iam having a combination of 1.x and 2.x machines.
All my 1.x machines use sendmail 4.1.
2.x machines are with SMI-8.6

It is NIS environment.(No DNS)

All the 1.x machines use NIS sendmail.cf
but 2.x(2.5.1)uses its own sendmail.cf.

How to change this and make it use the NIS .cf
file ?
Even the outgoing mail header is different.
i.e > in 1.x it is user@domainname.com
in 2.5.1 it is user@hostname.domainname.com

iam planning to upgrade the mailserver but it will
take time and so not a immediate soln.

Thanks in advance.
