All,
Sorry for late summary, but I was trying to decide on which way to go and when?
Most of the people suggested, I should upgrade to Solaris 2.5.1 11/97 or 2.6
Some suggested, from 11/97 CD I can add packages SUNWluxa,SUNWluxdv,SUNWluxop,
SUNWses, SUNWluxmn and add couple of patches it should work.
I am going to try this one first and if it does not work then upgrade OS.
Few also suggested I can just add HW 8/97 patch or 11/97 patch and it will
work.
But I am not sure what patch number(s). As of now I could not get that info, I
am still looking, if I do not get anything, I will go ahead with OS Upgrade.
I will keep the list posted on what I finally did.
Thanks to all those who responded.

***** Original Post *****
Hi All,
I have a Enterprise 4000, Solaris 2.5.1, HW 4/97 with recommended patches. I
have one RSM2000 Array already on this machine. This machine serves as a NFS
Server.
Recently I received one Network Array A-5000 with SBus FC-100 Host Adapter.
I installed the Sbus card and connected A5000, but system did not recognize
and did not create devices for the Array. So my installation failed, and as the
machine is critical I had to release it to users.
Later I was going thru installation manual for FC-100 Sbus adapter, it says,
It needs Solaris 2.5.1 HW 8/97 and I have 4/97.
Now my question is, Is there any other way of geting this array working other
than OS Upgrade to 2.5.1 HW 8/97 or 2.6 ?
I wanted to check with the list before I upgrade the OS, as OS upgrade calls
for atleast 4-5 hours of downtime, and It is very difficult to take this
system down for 4-5 hours. You all know how it works ?
Thanks in advance,I will summarize.
Sandeep
