Hi,
i know that this summary is a bit late, but i have been waiting for the
reply and the only reply i got is from Andrew M Townsend. Thanks Andrew!
Andrew mentioned to me regarding permission for SNM to read kernel
configuration information, which i think is not the actual cause. So
far, i didn't see or couldn't figure out any reason for the permission
to be denied.
Anyhow, i still welcome any reply on this issue and i will do another
summary should i get replies again. My original question is as below.
Hello all,
i'm running SunNet Manager version 2.3 on my SS20. When i send a request
using Quick Dump with hostmem2 from the Console, the request fails to
start and return "Cannot start request 'hostmem2.streams.0'. See error
report for details..." i checked the error report and it says
"Error: Request hostmem2.streams.2:API error: cannot read kernel memory"
i have found in Sunsolve Online that this is a bug, but it was in SunNet
Manager 2.2 and i couldn't find any patch for this. Whereas, i'm running
version 2.3, which i assume it should have fixed the bug in previous
version.
So, has anyone encountered the same error b4? i would like to hear some
experience on this SunNet Manager 2.3, also would appreciate if anyone
can suggest any workaround.
i will summarise. Thanks in advance.
