The answer: Darned if I know!

I've gotten 1 reply, suggesting that I upgrade to 2.5 or 2.6, because
the problem went away when the respodent did that.

I appreciate the idea but it's impractical for me just now.

However, the problem has gone away, as mysteriously as it had reappeared.
I logged out (bringing down my OpenWindows session) and after I logged
back in, the messages have not reoccurred.

I *hate* problems that do that! <smile>

How am I going to learn anything from "sprites"?
